Comply with the law
This section is based on the laws and regulations that everyone must follow. For example, committing or attempting to commit a crime or violating any law or regulation is strictly prohibited.
Child seats
Drivers and passengers traveling with infants and young children must comply with local laws. It is the passenger's responsibility to provide an appropriate car seat when traveling with children, unless otherwise required by law.
It is your responsibility to provide a car seat when traveling with young children, unless the law states otherwise.
When picking up passengers traveling with young children, you may need to give them extra time to properly install the child seat before starting the journey.
Comply with all laws
You are responsible for being aware of and complying with applicable laws and regulations when using Uber apps. This includes airport rules and regulations, speeding and traffic rules.
All relevant licenses, permits and other legal documents required of drivers and couriers must be up to date. For example, all drivers and couriers driving a vehicle are required by law to have a valid driver’s license and insurance. Drivers must also comply with applicable regulatory requirements in your region. We review reports of accidents and traffic offenses that may occur during a journey or delivery.
For everyone’s safety, leave the driving to your driver or courier. For example, do not touch the steering wheel and do not tamper with the gearshift or other control levers, buttons or other components that make the vehicle operate. Do not ask the driver or courier to speed up or make an illegal stop, stop or maneuver.
Guide animals
Drivers are legally required to provide rides to people with guide animals when legally required to do so, even if they have religious objections or are afraid of animals.
Intentionally refusing to travel with a user with a guide animal may result in you losing access to Kitto apps, unless legally permitted.
Drugs and alcoholic beverages
Passengers may not have open alcoholic beverages or be under the influence of drugs during the journey.
You are prohibited by law from driving or cycling while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. You are prohibited by law from driving or cycling under the influence of alcoholic beverages, drugs or any substance that affects your ability to drive safely, in excess of the limits prescribed by applicable law.
Passengers may not have open alcoholic beverages or be under the influence of drugs while traveling. If you encounter a drunk or belligerent passenger, you have the right to refuse the journey for your own safety.
Never bring illegal substances or open alcoholic beverages on board. If you think your driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, please ask him/her to stop the journey immediately. Then exit the vehicle and call the authorities or emergency services in your city. After leaving the vehicle, please report your experience to Kitto.
Firearms
Drivers and users, as well as passengers and guests, are prohibited from carrying any firearms while using Kitto apps to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Fraud
Fraudulent actions can undermine trust and be dangerous. For example, deliberately falsifying information or using another person's identity (or allowing another person to use your identity) during the registration and security check process is prohibited.
Provide accurate information when reporting incidents, creating and accessing your Kitto accounts, contesting charges or requesting credit. Only request fees, payments or refunds to which you are entitled, and use offers and promotions for their intended purpose. Do not knowingly complete invalid transactions.
Unacceptable activities
