Kitto Community Guidelines

Ensure each other's safety

Everyone has a role to play in ensuring a safe environment. That's why we have standards for account sharing, the age of the account user and more.

Account sharing

Account sharing is prohibited unless expressly permitted in our rules, terms and conditions or other policies. To use any Uber app, you must create and maintain your own active account. You must not allow anyone else to use your account and you must never share your login credentials with anyone else.

Protect your account. Do not allow anyone else to access your account. You can request rides or deliveries on behalf of people who meet our age requirements, and this does not violate the Kitto Community Guidelines.

Protect your account. Never allow anyone else to accept requests on Kitto apps using your account, except as expressly permitted in our rules, terms and conditions or other policies.

Persons under 18 years of age

You must be at least 18 years old to create a passenger, Kitto user account. Account holders cannot request rides or deliveries for people under 18 who are not accompanied by an adult during the ride or when picking up the order. This section applies unless there is a clear deviation from our rules, terms and conditions or other policies.

Adults cannot call a ride for people under 18 years of age who will not be accompanied by an adult during the ride.

If you believe that the passenger or Kitto user appears to be under 18 years of age at the time of pickup or delivery, you can refuse the journey or delivery and inform Kitto about it. Declining or canceling a ride for this reason won’t affect your driver partner or courier rating. You can also inform the passenger or Kitto user why you cannot accept the journey or complete the delivery so that they understand what happened.

Extra passengers

When you drive with the Kitto app, no other people are allowed in the vehicle other than the passenger calling for the ride and their guests. When delivering Kitto orders using a vehicle, there must be no passengers in the vehicle at the time the order is to be delivered. When traveling with Kitto, the account holder is responsible for the behavior of everyone in the vehicle. If you request a ride or delivery for another adult, you are responsible for their behavior during the ride or delivery.

Vehicle information

To facilitate passenger pick-ups or deliveries, Kitto apps provide passengers and Kitto users with identifying information about drivers and couriers and their vehicles, such as license plate number, vehicle make and model, profile photo and name.

Seat belt

Using seat belts can be the most effective way to save lives and reduce injuries associated with car accidents. All couriers, drivers and passengers, including those in the back seat, who drive vehicles should always wear their seat belts. Passengers should call for a vehicle with enough seats for everyone with them, and drivers should refuse a ride if there are not enough seats with seat belts for every passenger in the vehicle.

Use of cameras or other video or audio recording devices

Anyone using Kitto applications may choose to record all or part of their journeys or deliveries to the extent permitted by applicable law, including for the purpose of documenting a problem they encounter to Kitto or an appropriate authority. Applicable laws or regulations may require individuals using recording equipment to notify and/or obtain permission from everyone being recorded. Please check the applicable laws and regulations to determine whether this applies.

Broadcasting an image, audio or video recording of a person is not permitted.

Be careful

When you are on the road, you need to do your part to keep yourself and others safe. So you need to stay focused on the road, be well rested and be alert to situations that require you to act quickly. We examine reports of behaviors that can be unsafe while driving.

Proper maintenance and repair

Drivers and couriers are expected to keep their vehicles in good working order, including brakes, seat belts and tires. You must therefore ensure that your vehicle meets industry safety and maintenance standards and comply with all relevant laws and regulations.

Emergencies affecting the public

Kitto may take additional measures to protect the safety of our platform during emergencies affecting the public, including but not limited to natural disasters, public health emergencies, and crisis situations.

For example, if Kitto receives notification from a public health agency that a person using the Kitto platform has the potential to cause harm to the public, Kitto may suspend that person's account until it is safe to allow that person to continue using the Kitto platform.

Similarly, in the event of public health emergencies, natural disasters, or other social crises, or where the continued availability of the Kitto platform may pose a clear and present danger, we may block all individuals in a city or region from using part or all of the Kitto platform in order to comply with directives from authorities.
